Catalyst + Spark: Partnership for Learning

This action research project investigated student technology mentors as partners in leading teachers to become imaginative and resourceful through effective integration of technology into the curriculum.

  • The venue was an area the teachers were passionate about ~ a subject close to their heart or a challenge they were interested in addressing.
  • The students partnered with a teacher in their major area of interest.
  • The goal of the project was to shift teachers into the role of independent visionary in the integration of technology ~ to be fluent in the language of technology and knowledge theory and to be initiators of new learning models incorporating technology.
  • A subsidiary goal was to give the students a new perspective in the field.
