- Identify research area (Field of Action)
- Visit UCSD library and online libraries, read enough subject-focused literature and methodology literature to give me a reasonable foundation, and prepare for literature review
- Prepare content form for the students and their parents, and distribute to the students
- Install Chinese computing capability in the computer lab
- Design initial Action Research Plan
- Consult with MM for confirmation of the research direction
- Setup three groups of Tapped-in accounts for students (k-12 student accounts)
- Have students set up their blog addresses
- Get critical friends

- Continue with literature review with emphsis on learner-centered construction learning, authentic learning with the native speakers, and effective communication (dialogue) within community
- Collect Data for the 2nd quarter's learner-centered contstruction learning, including student's portfolio and their reflections on their blogs, etc.
- Learn data analysis with LC cadre mates
- Implement project that is collaborated between my students and their e-pals in China
- Introduce what I have learned and student's products to the faculty and department, get their feedback.
